Lavender And Baking Soda Detox Recipe

Tension headaches and sore muscles?

I know just what you need. A soothing lavender oil and baking soda bath. It’s the perfect way to wash away the stress of the day! This combo will have an immensely calming effect on your mind and body. It will instantly eliminate toxins and leave you feeling brand new.

BENEFITS OF LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL

Lavender oil doesn’t just give a sweet aroma. It is also well known for its relaxing, antidepressant and calming properties and for treating headaches and insomnia as well as benefiting throat infections, colds and flu. It can eliminate nervous tension and relieve pain. Furthermore, it can disinfect your skin and enhance blood circulation.

BENEFITS OF BAKING SODA

Baking soda is yet another fantastic natural remedy not only for skincare but detoxing too. It alkalizes your body and washes the acid waste out of your body. What I love is how it softens my skin.

LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL AND BAKING SODA DETOX BATH RECIPE

Simply add a cup of baking soda and five drops of lavender essential oil to your bath water.

Then, hop in and soak for 15 to 30 minutes.

Try staying in the bathwater for at least 30 minutes each time and repeat this bath once a week. You can also add a cup of Epsom salts to aid the detox process.

SOME POINTERS:

If you suffer from any health conditions, please check with your doctor before trying this detox. Also, if you feel very uncomfortable, dizzy or short of breath, get out of the bath immediately. Ensure your bathwater isn’t too hot so can stay in the bath for long. If you don’t feel like doing a full bath, you can do a foot bath instead!

Avoid using soap in your bathwater because it interferes with the detoxification process. A large glass of cold water next to your bathtub while you soak away is a great way to rehydrate during your detox bath.
